Well, it’s actually ‘Welcome back to Brooklyn’ for me. I’d been planning to move for a long time now, after a temporary-turned-permanent stay in my native borough, the Bronx. I was born there, but I never ever liked it (apologies if I’m offending anyone). In previous stories, you’ll discover that I went to high school in the L.E.S., and wanted out the B.X. pretty quickly. Many of my friends knew that I was a gypsy for years. I longed to plant my feet, finally, but it almost seemed impossible. Last week, I finally took the plunge and moved in with one of my best friends, better known as ‘Cosmic Christine‘. I may have traveled far to get from one place to the next, but I have also traveled a great deal in my life, to get to where I am now. I feel truly grateful.
Standing here on the Brooklyn Bridge, I can only think on my many blessings. This move was the second big step after my decision to get sober, 10 months ago. I also have another business underway, and now that I am getting settled, I can launch it really soon. From blogger to #BossBabe, I will be taking Brooklyn by storm! I plan on creating content on my room decor, so stay tuned for that. I am so excited to show you how I style the place! P.S. Away helped me pack-up in style. Just check out my stunning clay-colored suitcase from their capsule collection with actress Rashida Jones. I am told, this edition launches soon. I would love to know what you think of this post.
