Let me introduce you to The Staycationers; a group of dedicated individuals (including myself, this time around) on a mission to scout New York’s finest boutique hotels and luxurious properties. Last week we packed up for an urban getaway to the Night Hotels, Theatre District. With Lauren Gould of The Marcy Stop and I newly on the team, we joined Cyndi Ramirez of Taste the Style and Celine Bossart, the French foodie behind The Staycationers, for an evening of Perrier-Jouët and Japanese cuisine at the hotel’s restaurant (see below for the yummy bites). But first… Bumble and bumble stopped by to do our hair. Did I mention we got a ton of makeup to play with from NARS? Because, we did.
Aside from getting pampered by Bb, we were sent threads from Simon Miller to play dress up in. I was happy to find cropped denim to try. I have been really into the look of wide-leg trousers but found it tough to size since I’m a petite little kitten. Thankfully, these fit just right. Those and the cropped terry sweatshirt I wore. It was as though these clothes were meant for me. What’s more is I finally got to style my Tuleste Pom-Pom earrings. I have to say, this look was purrfection.
JUST LOOK AT THAT VIEW!
Remember when I said NARS gifted us major swag? Well, it didn’t take us long to crowd the upstairs bathroom and rummage through everything, selecting our signature colors for the evening. I found an amazing coral lipstick and dark grey eye paint. The eye paint went on like gangbusters. It’s like eyeshadow, but creamer. (P.S. Below I am wearing a darker shade lip, but swapped it out after finding that coral gem.)[KGVID poster=”http://lecitykitty.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Screen-Shot-2016-03-15-at-7.27.12-PM-1.png” width=”750″ height=”422″]http://lecitykitty.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/TTS-Night-Hotels.mp4[/KGVID]
Side note: Cyndi wore a vagina around her neck that night. That’s right. A VAGINA! If you want one, head to Tuza and order yours on a Gucci link chain. #PussyPower
After a few glasses of champagne we decided to pick up some characters for a photo op. It was actually totally unplanned, but nothing short of hilarious. Iron Man was absolutely adamant about scoring my number. No dice, though. (Obvi!)
Heading back in, the group decided that we really loved the gorgeous lounge area, so we plopped down and proceeded to act casual while our lovely photog Daniela snapped “candids” of us on our phones and reading the paper. I actually was utilizing my iPhone — no faking there. Cyndi and I were both wearing amazing platforms that were deserving of a photo. Next up, din-din at Red Moon.
Stop. But seriously, stop! I can’t even look at these images without drooling. Everything was oh-so good. We stuffed ourselves with sashimi and coconut concoctions while we yelled at The Oscars. Afterwards, we pretty much waddled back to our penthouse to unravel. All in all, it was a fabulous evening and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The hotel is beautiful with rooms starting at $120. You really can’t beat that with a selfie stick. Parum pum! Either way, I promise, you’d want to stay the night, too.
