Miami Beach EDITION is so special, so special so special so special (cue Mavado). It is the most special in fact, that it trumps (dare I say it?) our last plushy staycay at Casa Claridge’s. From boutique casas to beachfront views, we (THE STAYCATIONERS and I) take you on yet another extravagant tour of the tropical paradise, better known as Miami Beach. First stop, our hotel room. The swanky Ocean View King was more than I expected. Our view was over-the-top, the service was impeccable, and the decor was nothing less than dreamy. Just moments after arriving, EDITION sent up a bottle of VieVité Rosé, cupcakes, and gummy bears. (Wut?!)
Drinks in hand, we unpacked our luggage and boxes of swag. Cosabella sent us a few very cute swimsuits that gave our lady bits life! Celine and I later scooped up some bikes, and headed into town for a sweet pick-me-up at Sugar Factory. And in the evening, we had dinner at EDITION’s Market (featured here). The yummy bites still send my tastebuds reeling. The very next day, Jana Carrero of OJ and Cigs stopped by for an under-the-canopy photoshoot with our amazingly talented photographer, and new friend, Yesi Flores. A bottle of Perrier-Jouët later we were posted up Wes Anderson style by the pool; the three of us basking in the sun, taking in the luxe atmosphere that is EDITION.
After an afternoon of shooting, we went back to our room, styled ourselves in Iorane and Style Mafia, and headed down to Matador Room at the hotel. Let me just tell you, THE DRINKS WERE TO DIE FOR! The food was insanely delicious and the photographs from Lucien Clergue’s Matador series were exquisite. It was a night well spent over tacos, pizza, and ceviche. Guess what we did next?
That’s right, we went bowling. Not only is EDITION the best hotel, but it’s the best hotel (ha!). It is also a little known fact that all the cool kids hang at BASEMENT. I actually just made that up, but I am hoping it’s true now since our girl-gang took over. Featuring a nightclub, bowling alley, and ice-skating rink—BASEMENT just might be the most fun hangs, ever! Alexandra Mackover of Spur of the Moments completed super babe crew when she showed up to crash our staycay.
I look cute holding a bowling ball, but I promise you I cannot bowl to save my life.
Next up was ice-skating, and although you see me photographed on the ice, please take note that I am grasping the rail for dear life. I only made a cameo on the rink, but I stuck around to watch the girls make their rounds with full FOMO in my heart. I just couldn’t bare the thought of splitting my knee open on vacation. Nope. Not for me. It was all good though, since we wrapped up early to jump on the bed in our room. With tubs of candy from the Sugar Factory, we proceeded to bounce like maniacs hopped up on candy. ‘Twas the time of my life! What’s more is, there’s more. We have one more staycation rolling up to wrap up our Miami trip. Until next time…
