Salty Mermaid

Some claim to be mermaids, but few have what it takes. Do you crave the feeling of hot sand between your toes? The sound of the waves crashing against the shoreline, or the warm breeze against the back of your neck? Then it’s time to release your inner mermaid. Meet Salty Mermaid Swimwear, the Brazilian ‘kini brand that has me baring my bum this summer. I was a brazen mer-babe in my Pineapple Triangle Fringe Bikini, last week. I felt so cheeky, I even lost my top. Between donating funds from every suit to save Rain Forests in Brazil to empowering woman within and the world throughout, Salty Mermaid has easily become my source for sassy swimwear. Plus, the babes behind the line have mastered the perfect cut for every body shape. I mean,…

Summer in the City

Summer in the city is best well spent in the shade. Between the blazing heat and event-filled days, I am usually beat by 3PM. We have had our scorching days, but I’ve managed to keep my look light to avoid a total meltdown. I don’t have to tell you braless is the way to go. If you nix the brassiere, you’ll be liberating yourself (and your lady friends). Rocking an uber cute brami, I bounced around Greenwich Village, fancy-free. And even though I let the girls out, I paired my crop-top with a pair of cropped jeans. I love the mid-waist on this pair, along with the black button fly detail. So fetch! As for my shoes, I picked up a pair of green satin mules at Zara (on sale), that I cannot stop wearing.…

Celebrating Nike Cortez with Well+Good

I don’t mean to brag, but last week I co-hosted a fabulous event with Well+Good and Nike. To say it was a success is an understatement. This was actually our second event together at Nike Town New York. I joined on as their style-savvy co-host for both nights, which included dope beats by two cool DJ’s, custom styling sessions courtesy of Nike (and me), a nail bar by Vanity Projects, and tons of delicious goodies. Oh, and we gave away tote bags with swag with every Cortez purchase. But before the party began, I got to speak to a room full of Well+Good, Nike, and my followers. It was awesome! I had a really fun time assisting shoppers with styling their Cortez sneakers, as well as helping a new bride decide on which classics…

Governors Ball Weekend Recap

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of partying with Ray-Ban at Governors Ball. I actually received an invite to attend the music festival from OGX Beauty, as well. I had a jam-packed few days ahead of me and was so stoked. The lineup listed a few of my favorite artists, from Kahlani, Lorde, Chance The Rapper, Flume, Charlie XCX, Wu-Tang Clan, Childish Gambino, BANKS, and so many more! I was really looking forward to Saturday when Wu-Tang was performing. I grew up on music from the East Coast rappers, and couldn’t contain my excitement to hear them live. GOVERNORS BALL DAY 1       When Friday came I was all too thrilled to prep for the occasion. I picked up a pair of sporty velcro sandals from Aldo, and paired it with a…

Hello, Nostalgia

The other day, while sitting at brunch with my friend Cristian, I was feeling a bit nostalgic. There is something in the spring air that brings me back to another time. It’s tricky to pinpoint each moment, but I have such sweet memories in Lower Manhattan. I spent so much time in the L.E.S. through high school, and even more time working in the neighborhood. From my favorite date-night spots to cafes and boutiques I visit often, NYC is held very dear to me. After brunch we took a stroll through SoHo, as I pointed here and there, reminiscing on college hangouts. I went to The Art Institute in Tribeca, so I would walk to South of Houston everyday. My memories run deep through these streets. I breathe in and remember, Manhattan is also…
