The Max Mara fall 2014 collection was an offering of handsome outerwear. Long single button blazers were layered under sleeveless tweeds, while tailored quilted puffer vests were worn over extended silhouettes. The collection brought to mind the sophisticated style of Refinery29 editorial director Christene Barberich. A brilliant collection of herringbone prints, chunky sweaters (let’s not forget Max Mara’s gold booties) were minimal, sleek, and understated.
