As you know, October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to help raise more consciousness about this cause, I have teamed up with American Cancer Society Making Strides. Yesterday, I joined in the Breast Cancer Walk at Orchard Beach, in respect of my aunt who passed away four years ago. I, along with my mom, walked for miles with an empowering crowd of supporters. It was riveting! Most of us chanted a few sayings as we cheered each other on, and when we crossed the finish line, the crowd soared with excitement and love.[columns size=”1/2″ last=”false”][/columns] [columns size=”1/2″ last=”true”][/columns]
I wish you were able to feel what I felt, yesterday. To have the privilege to walk amongst cancer survivors and families who have lost their loved ones to the disease, was an honor. But, the only way for you to truly empathize, is if you are present at one of these walks. Luckily, you can get involved now! Please join an American Cancer Society Making Strides event in a city near you. Whether you are walking to support a friend’s team, or participating for family, your attendance and support could save lives. Discover here how you can join!
Because of my aunt’s courage and my family’s strength; no one walks alone.
