Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2014

There was a lot of minimalism this season and quite frankly I was bored. I almost blogged about Sportmax, but I could not muster a compelling thought about the collection. Thankfully Jil Sander delivered on minimalism with life this spring 2014, presenting what she called, “joyful serenity.” Cuts were clean, pants were short (shin length or above ankle), and skin lay bare between breasts, along shoulders, and revealing midriff. Jil’s palette of navy, white, and peach dominated the first half of her collection, until a burst of prints and lemon colored coats emerged. A-line skirts and dresses played the perfect companion for Jil’s chunky laced shoes and crazy creepers with a seriously cool heel. I could and would wear everything, especially those stompers!
