Exquisite and leaving me quite breathless. J.W. Anderson’s sculptural Spring/Summer 2014 collection blew me away. The valiant volumes and illuminating elegance bestowed by blocks of sheer pieces was totally and completely brilliant. The British designer called his latest masterpiece “modern peasantry.” Garments came in pleather, with pleats, and experimental shapes. Anderson’s abstract tops were stunning in the way they covered important parts, revealing bare backs and otherwise naked skin. Geometric shapes were done tastefully, including Anderson’s sophisticated looks of leather.
