DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub

DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub #lecitykitty

I have been all about at home beauty treatments as of late. Recently I told you about my go with the Cinnamon and Honey Diet, and how much I loved it. I blogged about the recipe after my fifth day of drinking it, and mentioned a reaction I had due to the cinnamon. I stopped completely for two days and applied hydrocortisone on my face for the minor irritation. Unfortunately, the hydrocortisone dried out my skin, but I wasn’t about to make it worse. At this point my face was extremely dry and cracking at my nose and cheeks. Hopeful, I went for a spin on Pinterest for a quick fix I could make in my kitchen and discovered the DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub.

This lemon and sugar face exfoliator is divine. It is the perfect scrub for removing dead skin and will give your face an amazing glow. Lemon is a great natural ingredient that helps get rid of acne, fade scars and dark spots, tightens pores, and brightens your complexion. Sugar is also great as a natural exfoliator and a source of glycolic acid, which is known for evening skin tone. After the first use I noticed my skin was brighter, softer, and naturally moisturized. Just apply the scrub to dry skin and gently exfoliate. Leave on for about 5 minutes, then rinse clean with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Ingredients
1 Lemon
Sugar

Directions
Squeeze the entire lemon into a bowl. Pour enough sugar to create a paste. Apply to clean, dry skin. Exfoliate for 3-5 minutes. Finally, rinse with cool water. With this recipe you’ll have enough left for a few days.

Enjoy your new glowing skin!
