What is the most fun thing you can do on a Sunday afternoon? If you guessed, “Have brunch with friends”, then you are my soul-mate. Brunch just so happens to be my favorite meal of the weekend―and enjoying it with your pals, is even better! But who exactly invented this genius meal, you might ask? While the jury is still out on how many slices of bacon I consumed, I do know this: Brunch was first coined by English writer Guy Beringer, who suggested a “new meal, served around noon, that starts with tea or coffee, marmalade and other breakfast fixtures before moving along to the heavier fare”… on Sundays, as a hangover cure. Smart guy!
a late morning meal eaten instead of breakfast and lunch.
So, whilst on my way to take full advantage of free grub (last week), I captured my pre-food baby look. Note the oversized, untucked shirt and somewhat lose-fitting jeans. With a blazer in tow and platform boots to complete my look, I’d say I came prepared! Fancy yourself a good mid-afternoon breakfast, and baggie clothes to hide your bacon-and-eggs food baby? Then I think you’ve come to the right place! I hope you are loving this outfit, just as much as I do. Let me know what you think, in the comments below.
