Guess what guys, I am 31 years old. Though I may look younger (I tell everyone I’m 25) I owe it all to weekly mask rituals I took up when I turned 30. For most women healthy skin is important, for me it’s vital. As a beauty blogger I receive tons of samples, some I love and some that don’t work for my skin type. But, as of late I have been going au naturale and making my very own skincare products at home. Creating natural and homemade face mask recipes was easy, all I had to do was look in my refrigerator and cupboard. Below you will find five simple DIY recipes you can have fun making. You can even eat them!
1. HONEY & OATMEAL FACIAL FOR REJUVENATION AND CLARITY
2 tablespoons of Honey
2 tablespoons of Oatmeal
1 tablespoon of Plain Yogurt
Mix ingredients. Apply to clean dry face. Leave on for 5-15 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
2. GRAPEFRUIT MASKS FOR NORMAL TO OILY SKIN
1 teaspoon of Grapefruit Juice
1 teaspoon of Sour Cream
1 Egg White
Beat egg until fluffy, add sour cream, add grapefruit juice and blend well. Apply to face for 15 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
3. APPLE CUCUMBER REFRESHING MASK
1/2 Medium Apple
1 large Egg
1/2 teaspoon Mint Essential Oil
Mix all in blender. Apply to face (avoiding eyes). Leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
4. STRAWBERRY CLEARING MASK FOR ACNE
1/4 cup of Fresh Strawberries
1/4 cup of Plain Yogurt
Mash the strawberries. Mix with yogurt. Spread on clean dry face. Leave on 10-15 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
5. AVOCADO FACE MASK FOR DRY SKIN
1/4 cup of Honey
Mash the avocado. Stir in honey. Apply to face. Leave on 10 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
