JUUL: The Smoking Alternative

Disclaimer: This post was in collaboration with JUUL Labs, all thoughts and opinions are my own. In an attempt to be fully transparent with you, I admit that I am an occasional smoker. It began several years ago and continued for a year, subsequently. I found myself weary of what became ritualistic behavior and didn’t smoke for a while. And having a cigarette, here and there, made me believe I wasn’t a true smoker. However, dating a smoker a few years later didn’t help my habit. I somehow managed to chill on the smoking for three-years until I picked up again, last month. As I found myself turning to cigarettes again, I realized it was not an ideal situation. For the first time, I found myself struggling to quit. I saw that my best…

SOREL Booties for Fall

Sponsored by Zappos As a kid I loved nothing more than to stop on leaves in the fall. The sound of them crushing beneath my feet was so enjoyable to me―and still is. Now as an adult, I get to do that with exceptionally rad booties from SOREL. These chic leather and rubber babies came direct from Zappos, almost overnight after placing my order. I was set for traveling to Washington, DC and needed sturdy boots for trucking in the leaves. It just so happened to rain later in the evening of this shoot, which then put my Dacie Booties to the test. From rain to muck, my feet remained dry and mud-free. Click here to shop these booties! Destination: Washington, DC

Last weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Washington, DC as an ambassador for NYCgo. I stayed at the lovely Kimpton Hotel Palomar for two-nights, and got to truly peruse as a tourist. From date-nights with my photographer to taking in Georgetown life, and finally (coming soon in a new post) walking along the National Mall. All was beautiful and picturesque, but none as thrilling as standing on the most iconic steps from one of my all time favorite movies: The Exorcist. I happily ran to the location after shooting these images, with tremendous joy! The haunting film is a must-watch for Halloween, which just so happens to be today. If you’re going to visit DC, please eat at Havana, stay at Kimpton, and go check out those creepy stairs. Oh, and one last…

Coat Check

I am craving fall something awful. Aside from the city’s beautiful transformation, I miss the crisp smell of change in the air. I also find it quite romantic these events occur as a result of the earth’s changing position, with regard to the sun. And even though summer is not quite done hovering over us with her heat-filled days, I am between seasons. Crepe coats have consequently become a staple in my wardrobe. While this look of pink denim and floral ankle boots feels like spring, I am subtly beginning for the equinox. Shop The Look Coat: Zara / T-shirt: Zara / Jeans: Topshop / Boots: Zara SaveSave
